Oleg Bekmemetev congratulated war veterans on the upcoming New Year of 2020

On December 11, at the theatre ‘Young Man’, a festive event was held for Izhevsk war veterans – residents of the Oktyabrskiy district. About 300 people gathered in the theatre hall. The Head of the City of Izhevsk Oleg Bekmemetev, the Chairman of the Izhevsk City Council Oleg Garin, the deputies of the State Council of the Udmurt Republic and the Izhevsk City Council of Izhevsk congratulated the senior citizens on the upcoming New Year.

‘The kindest holiday is approaching us, which we all love from an early age. The most important thing is the mood we’re going to enter the New Year, and the dreams of our future,’ the Head of the City of Izhevsk addressed the veterans. Oleg Bekmemetev wished everyone good health and happiness in the upcoming year, thanked the active residents who are not indifferent to the further development of the capital of the Udmurt Republic.

Congratulations on behalf of the deputies of the Izhevsk City Council was conveyed by Oleg Garin, ‘On the eve of the New Year, it is important to summarize thing we did in 2019. The result of the joint work of the city government, the deputy corps, business and social activists with the support of representatives of the older generation were multiple transformations. Our city is changing and developing. Two public spaces appeared in the Oktyabrskiy district this year – it’s the Kalashnikov Square and Central Square. I’m sure that next year will be successful for us, and joint work will bring new results.'

Oleg Bekmemetev held the award ceremony. Active citizens were awarded certificates of entry into the Book of Honour of veterans of the Oktyabrskiy district. The solemn part continued with a festive concert.
